Lagu “Backseat” menggambarkan perjuangan dan ambisi sekelompok anak muda yang sedang mengejar mimpi bersama. Di bagian awal lirik, frasa “They don’t see the work it takes” menunjukkan bahwa orang lain sering kali hanya melihat hasil tanpa memahami proses panjang, kerja keras, dan pengorbanan di baliknya. Namun, para pemuda ini terus melangkah maju tanpa menyerah.
Selain kegigihan diri, mereka memutuskan untuk terus melaju karena percaya bahwa suatu hari nanti, usaha mereka akan terbayar. Lagu ini juga menyampaikan pesan tentang loyalitas pada tim, kepercayaan diri, mental pantang menyerah, serta keyakinan bahwa kerja keras bersama akan membawa mereka ke puncak kesuksesan.
MV “Backseat” sebagai Lagu Keempat LNGSHOT
“Backseat” menjadi lagu keempat dari LNGSHOT yang dibuat dalam versi MV. Lagu ini dirilis pada Jumat (20/2/2026), setelah tiga lagu sebelumnya yaitu “Moonwalkin'”, “Saucin'”, dan “FaceTime”. Kini, di antara lima lagu dalam mini album SHOT CALLERS, hanya tersisa satu lagu, yaitu “Never Let Go”, yang belum memiliki versi MV.
Perilisan MV “Backseat” mendapat respons positif dari para penggemar. Salah satu alasan mengapa lagu ini dinilai spesial adalah karena dua member LNGSHOT turut berpartisipasi dalam penulisan liriknya. Mereka adalah Ryul dan Woojin. Dengan keterlibatan langsung dari anggota grup, lagu ini semakin menunjukkan kekompakan dan keunikan dari LNGSHOT sebagai sebuah grup musik.
